MY MINISTRY – Donna Gustafson
God called me to Peru, in 2016, to share his love and give hope to his people. My jungle ministry started with a boy’s home where I was a house “Mom” to teenage boys. I started serving an indigenous tribe with bible classes and English lessons.
Now I am serving two indigenous tribes with discipleship training and children’s bible lessons. My mission has evolved to God calling me into a women’s ministry. The Spirit led me to a property on the Itaya River so, I used my retirement savings to buy the property and start building a Women’s Center, La Casa de Esperanza.
We are reaching children, youth, women and communities at La Casa de Esperanza. We are supporting the local churches and pastors with teaching materials and retreats for the pastors. Churches use our beach for baptisms in the river, and we are building cabins to house young women from deep in the jungle who want to go to secondary school. One of our biggest projects is the Christmas program where we share the story of our savior and gifts with the children.
Sharing God’s love and giving hope for a future is all a part of building God’s kingdom on earth. We at La Casa de Esperanza are called to build God’s kingdom on earth and we would like to share that mission with you by inviting you to participate in this mission!

Our Mission is to follow the great commission by going forth in the nations making Disciples of Jesus Christ and teaching all that He taught his disciples. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Our vision at Casa de Esperanza (House of Hope) is to change the lives of young Peruvians by developing their God given skills and talents, raising up the next generation of Christian leaders.
Our Logo for Albergue (refuge) Casa de Esperanza was developed around the verse Hebrews 6:19-20 “so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain.”
