Interim Pastor: Alice Bolen

Pastor Alice was born and raised on a farm in west-central Illinois. She is a graduate of Culver-Stockton College, a Disciples of Christ school, and received her MDiv from United Theological Seminary in New Brighton, MN.

She served as an Associate Regional Minister of the Upper Midwest Region for 14 years with an emphasis on Christian Women Fellowship and Christian Education. She began her pastoral ministry at First Christian Church in Perry, Iowa, followed by 12 years at Runnells Christian Church, in Runnells, Iowa. Following her retirement from full-time pastoral ministry she was called to Interim Ministry. Park Avenue Christian is her 6th Interim.

Pastor Alice is married to Dr. John Bolen, retired professor from Simpson College in Indianola. They have 2 children, Brian and Amy, six grandchildren and 3 great grandsons.
